What do young scientists do on this day when they have a project they want to share with the science community? Well, they head to MSEF. Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair is a youth science fair which may lead to the opportunity to present at its science affiliate the NJAS Nebraska Junior Academy of Science Fair later this spring for a few well documented youth science project presenters. In the recent past MSEF has been held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Ballroom and Lauritzen Gardens Omaha Botanical Society. This year the exciting science fair event is taking place at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium Conference Center.

Academy Science youth are invited to present the science projects they have been researching and presenting to the community throughout the year. Academy Science teachers supervise the Academy Science youth throughout the projects assuring high quality science standards including research and safety are met. Academy Science teachers are honored to participate as science fair judges evaluating presentations of youth pursuing science.

Academy Science youth and teachers participate in science presentations at MSEF, GNSEF, AHEC, NAS, NJAS, ISEF, Nebraska 4-H, Academy Science Community Demonstrations, Douglas County Fair, Sarpy County Fair, Nebraska State Fair, Small Farm Conference, NCR-SARE organized events and other local, regional and national science events. In presenting their science projects, Academy Science youth and their teachers have traveled to Omaha, Elkhorn, Springfield, Lincoln, Nebraska City, Grand Island, Kansas City, Columbia and Pittsburgh.
